Overview

What is .blue

.blue comes from the English word blue. It speaks to brands that made blue their color, to sea, coast and water businesses, and to companies wanting a calm color in their address, one people know from many logos. It was added to the internet’s root in 2014, and IANA’s record names Identity Digital Limited as the body responsible for it.

Blue is a familiar color in logos, read by many as calm and trust, so the extension ties your address to your brand’s color. It supports names in Arabic and DNSSEC signing, and the word is short and easy to say.

Its price with us carries no offer that runs out: renewal costs a little less than the first year. But it doesn’t say what you sell, only its color, so it doesn’t suit a brand of another color; and it is less familiar than .com to some customers.
